8 slices Toast bread |
4 stumps Chicory |
Butter |
Pepper, Salt and Nutmeg |
dash Balsamic vinegar |
4 slices Oud Brugge cheese (Old Bruges) |
4 slices Gandaham |
Sugar (if you like) |
Croque with chicory cheddar and ganda ham Directions
- Cut the chicory in julienne and fry it in a little butter.
- Sprinkle with a little sugar and let it caramelize a little.
- Deglaze with a dash of balsamic vinegar.
- Season with pepper, salt and nutmeg.
- Drain the chicory a little.
- Cover a slice of bread with a slice of ham, put a little chicory on top.
- Now place a slice of cheddar cheese on the chicory and finish with a slice of bread.
- Grill the croque between the croque-monsieur machine until the cheese has melted nicely
