Ingredients

8 slices Toast bread
4 stumps Chicory
Butter
Pepper, Salt and Nutmeg
dash Balsamic vinegar
4 slices Oud Brugge cheese (Old Bruges)
4 slices Gandaham
Sugar (if you like)

Croque with chicory cheddar and ganda ham Directions

    • Cut the chicory in julienne and fry it in a little butter.
    • Sprinkle with a little sugar and let it caramelize a little.
    • Deglaze with a dash of balsamic vinegar.
    • Season with pepper, salt and nutmeg.
    • Drain the chicory a little.
    • Cover a slice of bread with a slice of ham, put a little chicory on top.
    • Now place a slice of cheddar cheese on the chicory and finish with a slice of bread.
    • Grill the croque between the croque-monsieur machine until the cheese has melted nicely
