8 slices Toast bread
4 stumps Chicory / Endives
Butter
Pepper, Salt and Nutmeg
dash Balsamic vinegar
4 slices Oud Brugge cheese (Old Bruges)
4 slices Gandaham
Sugar (if you like)

Croque with chicory Oud Brugge and ganda ham Directions

  1. Cut the chicory in julienne and fry it in a little butter.
  2. Sprinkle with a little sugar and let it caramelize a little.
  3. Deglaze with a dash of balsamic vinegar.
  4. Season with pepper, salt and nutmeg.
  5. Drain the chicory a little.
  6. Cover a slice of bread with a slice of ham, put a little chicory on top.
  7. Now place a slice of cheddar cheese on the chicory and finish with a slice of bread.
  8. Grill the croque between the croque-monsieur machine until the cheese has melted nicely
  9.
