Horse steak with hunter sauce and au gratin potatoes Directions
- Cut the potatoes into thin slices and mix them with cream, the chopped garlic, pepper and salt.
- Put the mixture in a baking dish and sprinkle with ground cheese.
- Place in a pre-heated oven at 180 ° C for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile fry the meat for 3 minutes for each side.
- Let the steaks rest on a plate under aluminum foil. This keeps the meat warm.
- Color the vegetables in a pan with some fat. Sprinkle with some flour and pour in the wine. Reduce to half.
- Add the brown stock and tomato puree and reduce to half again.
- Fry the mushrooms and bacon. Add the silver onions · and pour the sauce through a sieve into the pan.
- Put some gratin on the plates and then the meat. Generously cover with the sauce.
